Q. How do I figure out the price of a blind?
A. Click on the type of blind you want, click on the "see prices" icon or the "see prices" link found at the bottom of the page and then use the Price Lookup form. Simply type in your width, length and type of blind and click submit.

Q. What is the width of your wood blinds?
A. We manufacture 2" wood blinds and 1" wood blinds.

Q. What does inside or outside mount mean?
A. Inside mount (IB) means that the blind will mount inside the window frame and therefore be flush with the wall. The outside mount blinds will be mounted on the wall and therefore cover the window and the frame. (see our measuring instructions page)

Q. What are the fabric tapes?
A. Fabric tapes are a decorator accessory (10% additional charge) that is added to the blinds to pick up color from the room. The tapes are 1 ½ " wide colored fabric that is placed down the length, and on each side of the blind in place of the string ladders.

Q. Is there a charge to modify the controls.
A. No. You can request either a wand or a cord type control to tilt the blind. The lift control is always a cord. Either control can go on either side or both controls can be put on one side and there is no additional charge.

Q. What does 2 on a head rail mean?
A. This is only for wide windows. When a window is too wide, the blinds need to be split into two independent blinds that share the same top or head rail. Many times two single blinds will serve the same purpose. There is an additional charge of $45 for 2 on a head rail, and a $55 charge for 3 on a headrail.

Q. Do you have synthetic or wood look blinds?
A. We manufacture both Polyfoam and Tekfoam blinds, which are synthetic or wood look blinds. Polyfoam has a smooth finish while Tekfoam has an embossed wood grain pattern to it.

Q. Do your blinds come with a valance?
A. Yes a valance is included free of charge with each blind. The outside mount blinds have a valance with returns.

Q. Is there an additional charge if I want more than one blind on a headrail?
A. Yes! Two blinds on one headrail will incur an additional $45, three blinds on one headrail will incur an additional $55, customers wishing more than three blinds on a headrail should call for a price quote.

Q. Why do I get a Warning Message when I go to the secure order form?
A. This is NORMAL and is NOT AN ERROR. Our website address is blindoutlet.com however the secure server is located at secureordersite.com, therefore when Internet Explorer checks the names on the secure server certificate and on the domain name accessing it it thinks that there is a problem. This is a bug in Internet Explorer and is not present in Netscape Navigator.
